Camcorders and Firewire

Hello my name is Mr.foolishfilms and i am the big guy of thefoolishfilms productions. I came hear to talk about camcorders and firewire. By the way a firewire cable is a highspeed cable like USB but it is used on mini dv camcorders only and can capture live video footage(a.k.a. become a webcam) with a capturing software if it has the capabilities. First i will tell you how to do this. you will need a firewire cable(1) 6 pin to 4 pin depending on the port on your computer, you will need a dv camcorder(2),a firewire port (3) on your PC(you could also install a pci firewire(4) card), and for this tutorial you will need Windows movie maker(5) Vista or xp(not sure about 7) will do fine. now first you will need to switch your camcorder to camera mode and leave it on standby (it means don't click the record button) then plug in your firewire cable into your camcorder aswell as pc then weight for your computer reconize the new device and a window will pop up saying what you will like to open this with click windows movie maker then click your device name (usually the name of your camcorder)then click playback for bestquality on my computer also it will ask you to see which file to save it on click whateverone and also name your file then click start capture and your ready to roll! hope this helps pictures will be shown below with the numbers
